3 months in India budget advice
Quote from eddie11 on January 11, 2025, 8:16 pmHi,
I'm looking to go backpacking in India from the end of May for around 3 months. I'm looking to do this for as cheaply as possible. I will have approx £1500. I have found return flights from to and from Mumbai for roughly £450, so I will have around £1000 spending. Having never been backpacking outside Europe and knowing very little about India I do not know if this a sufficient amount. Could an experienced person advise me on this or perhaps recommend a similar destination that would suit my budget?
Thanks for reading,
Eddie.

Do some research on where you would like to go and what you want to see, bear in mind that that time of year is not the time of year to be relaxing and enjoying the beaches of Goa. My advice would be to definitely go for it but shorten the trip to a month or find some extra money.
