High school year abroad best places to go
I'm an incoming high school freshman, and I'm looking into taking a school year to study abroad! I'm from California and I primarily speak English, although I've been learning Spanish in school for two years so far. I need help scoping out where the best places to study abroad would be. I've noticed that there's lots of opportunities in Germany, Japan, and France, but I'm nervous about the language barrier. What do you all suggest?
I would go to Spain - beautiful cities (Madrid, Seville, Barcelona, Valencia) and improve your Spanish at the same time.
I know this might sound obvious but if you are worried about the language barrier have you considered the UK or Ireland? I'm sure you could find Spanish programs there too, or just maybe throw yourself in the deep end and go to Spain. I'm considering Paris as a city to study abroad, and my French isn't perfect.
