Is Camp America worth it???

Page 1 of 2Next

Im just deciding whether or not I should apply..it is a lot of money and would like to know if it is really worth it???

Yes, is there a better summer job to have fun, meet people and travel??

I hope it is I've been placed and am going summer 25 🙂

IT WAS 1,000,000% WORTH IT. I made so many new friends from around the world, and I now have more homes I can stay at when I do more travelling. I loved camp so much that when I didn't return, I really missed camp and thought it was so unfair that I had to look at the new camp pictures that were being added each week from home.

I keep in contact frequently with other co-counsellors and campers. I went back to the USA last year for 6 days before flying onto Europe, and I'm going back twice later this year for 3 weeks. I will be staying with families I know from camp. Life changing.

You should definitely do it, Camp is Amazing, I did it for the first time this year and loved every minute of it. I went to a small/medium sized camp and did kayaking in CT.

I am for sure going back next year.

If you have any questions either post them here or look me up on Facebook.

Undoubtedly, it was really worth for me! I learnt sign language, horses equitation, rope cross, American football, and so on. That was so much fun, I will definitely go to camp again in 25. Look up videos on Youtube or TikTok, it shows you what summer camp is like and why you will love it 🙂

Camp is amazing, life changing really I had a blast and cannot wait to go back next year! 😀

Can foreign non-native English speakers apply?

The TikTok's I've seen makes it look class, I can't wait.

I can only speak for myself but it was one of the best things I've ever done. I got placed at a co-ed camp in New Hampshire and it was a lot of fun. We had a huge number of international staff from places like the UK, Australia and New Zealand so it was a great place to make friends from all over. Don't get me wrong, it can be tiring and the money isn't the best, but for a way to escape summer and experience the USA I'm not sure there is anything better if you are a student. Just writing about it is making me miss it!!
