Is Raleigh International good?
I wanted to do Camp America next summer but due to just missing being 18 on the application deadline I think I'll have to delay it for a year. A while ago I attended an information meeting with a company called Raleigh International, has anyone heard of them or done it before?
The expeditions sounded great, there were a couple of trips to Costa Rica, South Africa, Borneo which I liked the look of but not sure if it is right for me. Also the costs seemed quite high £2000-£5000 which to me is a lot. I know fundraising is an option but still its expensive.
Would anyone recommend Raleigh expeditions or best to give a miss?
This is a lot of money, I would recommend checking these summer volunteer trips abroad as there are lots of options for much cheaper prices.
My friend went on a Raleigh expedition when she was 18 and really loved the experience. They are a legit company I think they've been around for years now. I regret not doing it at the same time as her pictures were amazing but the price was a bit high for me I think it was £3000 or something like this. I'm hoping to go volunteer in Sri Lanka now, not with Raleigh but with a different company.
