Is teaching abroad without experience a bad idea?

I would like to spend longer in Bali so I'm looking at teaching abroad but I have zero teaching experience so is this a really terrible idea? Or is it easy to pick up?

Heyyy, I'm in a similar situation... I've been fed up with my job for a while and have the urge to go and travel. TEFL looks one of the best ways to move abroad and get a job, but I don't have any education/teaching experience either. From what I've read you learn a lot on TEFL courses so hopefully that helps with the transition, thats what I'm hoping for anyway.
