I'm unsure where to get information for the following general questions:

1. How long does it take to get it, encompassing the entire process from the employers end to mine?
2. Where is the location for the employer to apply for the DS?
3. Is there anything we can do to speed up the process?

I have accepted a job offer in the States, we originally looked at the H-1B, but it was going to cost ~$5500.00 USD to apply, so looked for alternative options, the J-1 Visa fits me, because the job I applied for was a Computer Science Graduate job. So under the title 'Intern' I can apply for the J-1.

But there is so little information on the web about the j-1 Internship program I'm grasping at straws 🙁
