Projects Abroad - Ethical?
Has anyone volunteered with Projects Abroad? Their trips look wow though they are very expensive but my main concern is a lot seem to be with children in developing countries and I read this isn't recommended or ethical? I'm not sure whether to proceed or find a different organisation.
I'm also looking at volunteering with projects abroad, which trip are you thinking about?
Projects Abroad are an established UK based volunteer organisation and over 100,000 people have volunteered with them. Their placements aren't cheap though and so they are out of reach for the average person looking to volunteer abroad. For more options check out our gap year volunteer projects.
I was considering a project in Peru with Projects Abroad but when I added flights and insurance etc it was going to cost way too much for me. The project alone was around £1700!! When you think about it it is a crazy amount of money just for 2 weeks :O

Did you apply Nella? Projects Abroad were a company on my volunteer abroad shortlist of companies but for a 4 week project in South Africa unfortunately was just too much for me to afford 🙁 Its a shame as I really liked the look of the conservation projects they offer.
