Teaching in Asia but not knowing the language advice

Is it necessary to speak a foreign language when teaching abroad? I want to go to Asia maybe Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Japan or Korea, but I only speak English? Is this going to be a struggle to communicate with students/people? Do I even stand a change of getting hired for some jobs?

I find it hard to believe many people speak any Asian languages, especially fluently. I guess it would help you to get hired, but you could also start learning on Duolingo to pick up the basics when you know what your destination and language is.
