Are TEFL Graduate a Scam or a Good Company?
Hey Everyone!
I've already posted on another threat I'm wanting to embark on long-term travel and I want to get my TEFL before I leave for my trip so I can find work on the road. I've read many sites on in-class vs. online and they all seem super bias with no real solution.
Wondering if any of you have done an online course for TEFL/TESOL with TEFL Graduate? The one I was looking at was either the 120 or 150 hour course with them?
I read over 100,000 students have trained with TEFL Graduate, but I wasn't sure this number could possible be true as the company was only founded in 2016, that is like 11,000 per month?? Surely this can't be right, which made me think this company could be a bit dodgy or a bit of a scam as there seems to be lots out there in the TEFL universe?

Basically, all companies which offer online TEFL courses are the same/similar. Also, they are held in the same regard in the ESL industry. Doing any course will certainly give you a leg up on applicants without one. It may even provide you with some basic training so you aren't wasting the time of the students. But, higher end jobs with more reputable companies won't even interview you with an online certificate. You'll get a job, but not with a "good" school. And your career development options will be limited unless you go back and get a CELTA/Trinity TESOL.
