What to do with a Tefl/Tesol/CELTA qualification when I return home?

I'm considering getting a CELTA/Tesol qualification prior to leaving on an extended trip overseas, and teaching in various countries.
I was wondering, has anyone with a similar qualification used it once they have returned home? Say to tutor privately or to teach ESL classes? I'm from the UK and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this.

Have you thought about going into teaching? Or maybe just don't return home lol.
