This week’s question comes from Laura in Newport:

I’d really like to visit India for 3 weeks this year but it’s so big! Where do you suggest I concentrate my trip to get a great, well rounded experience?

There is so much to see and do in India, a country that will send every one of your senses in to overdrive with a difference experience to be had around every corner. So how do our experts suggest Laura spend her 3 weeks?

Lets find out…

Sarah says…

I’d probably suggest travelling the north for a first visit to India. With such iconic landmarks as the Taj Mahal, River Ganges, the stunning landscapes of Rajasthan and many more…

India can be quite overwheming for a first-time traveller so an organised tour could be a good idea.

Some India tours are a great way to see the ‘golden triangle’ i.e. India’s most famous landmarks (mentioned above).

On some trips you start and finish in Delhi, a great place to begin your India adventure.

Rajasthan Amber Fort

You will likely travel first to the ‘pink city’ of Jaipur and then east to Agra and the Taj Mahal and then onto Varanasi and the holy Ganges.

A lot of trips finish in Delhi which is a great platform to venture (by either flying or taking the train) to other parts of the country.

Goa beach

You could spend your last week in the beautiful southern beaches of Kerala and Goa or head west, deep into Rajasthan to the likes of the Thar Desert for an exotic camel trek…

Kerala, India
