Is Three Weeks Enough for Thailand, Malaysia and Bali?
Quote from Genz on July 21, 2026, 2:09 pmHi everyone,
I am looking at possible Southeast Asia itineraries for travellers leaving from the UK and would be interested to hear from people who have completed a similar trip.
For approximately three weeks, would this itinerary feel comfortable or too rushed?
- 7 nights in Thailand
- 4 nights in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore
- 7 nights in Bali
- Remaining time for flights and transfers
The main concern is that airport journeys, hotel changes and immigration could take away too much time from the actual holiday.
Would it be better to choose only two countries and explore them properly, particularly for someone travelling in Southeast Asia for the first time?
I would also be interested to know which combination you would recommend:
- Thailand and Bali
- Thailand and Malaysia
- Malaysia, Singapore and Bali
Any advice from recent travellers would be appreciated, especially regarding realistic travel times and how many destinations can be enjoyed without constantly packing and moving.
